Awards Terms & Conditions
The organisers of the Shropshire Chamber Business Awards are the Shropshire Chamber of Commerce.
The Shropshire Chamber Business Awards 2023 are free to enter and are open exclusively for businesses which have an operating base in either the Shropshire Council or Telford & Wrekin Council areas.
Entrants must be aged 18 or over – and do NOT have to be members of Shropshire Chamber of Commerce.
Applicants must be authorised by the company entering into the Shropshire Chamber Business Awards.
Any business or individual which is professionally contracted to help deliver any element of the organisation of the awards is not eligible for entry.
The closing date for entries is midnight on 14th April.
Companies can enter a maximum of THREE awards categories.
All entries must be submitted in English, submitted through the online entry form, and completed in full.
Entries that meet all of the terms and conditions will be acknowledged on receipt.
The business name stated on your entry form will appear on an engraved award should you become a winner.
Shropshire Chamber Business Awards entries will be shortlisted by an independent cross-sector panel including a mix of Sponsors and independent individuals that have no conflict of interest with those being judged. Shropshire Chamber staff DO NOT take part in the shortlisting or judging process.
Finalists will be assessed by a panel which is comprised of independent business representatives, and representatives of the category sponsors.
The organisers reserve the right to withdraw an award from any applicant supplying false information within their entry. The organisers also reserve the right to audit any information supplied.
The judges may decline to make any award in any category if in their opinion there are insufficient entries of a winning standard.
The judges will select finalists from each category against the criteria set out on the website. Finalists will be notified in writing via email. A full list of finalists will also be announced on the website and in the local press by 19th April.
Subject to entries meeting the qualifying criteria, there will be one award winner selected from the finalists in each category.
Winners will be announced at the awards event – and a representative of the winning company will be invited onto stage to receive their trophy.
All award finalists will receive a commemorative certificate.
Details of the winners will be published online here.
By entering this competition you agree to:
- Allow us to use the information and material you supply to promote Shropshire Chamber Business Awards.
- Allow us to share your information and contact details with other people, businesses or bodies who we feel would be of benefit to you, including category judges and sponsors.
- Agree to taking part in pre and post competition publicity.
Finalists will be required to purchase at least two tickets for attendance at the awards evening.
Finalists must make themselves available to be visited by the official awards videographers to film footage for broadcast on the night – or supply suitable in-house material.
Winners will be required to take part in post-event publicity and consent to their name and photograph being used for such purposes.
Winners may publicise their award provided that the year in which it was won is stated. The organisers licence any winner to use the Shropshire Chamber Business Awards logo to do this.
The decision of the shortlisting panel and judges is final and no further correspondence will be entered into.
By entering the Shropshire Chamber Business Awards, the entrant will be deemed to have read and understood these terms and conditions and to be bound by them. The terms and conditions include any instructions set out with the entry form.
